Psychologist/Behavioral Health Disability Specialist

BMI, a national leader in Disability and Absence Management seeks PhD or PsyD Licensed Psychologist (or license eligible) to join our dynamic team of competent clinicians. We need confident, energetic individuals who are rooted in sound clinical practice to assist in our growth and entrepreneurial endeavors.

Duties include:

  • Conduct assessments of complex behavioral health cases
  • Actively manage complicated cases to facilitate successful return to work
  • Write reports; provide opinions regarding impairment, functioning, treatment and return to work concerns
  • Review other clinicians’ reports as part of quality assurance process
  • Training of customer clients on BH management practices

Interested professionals will have the opportunity to interface telephonically across the country with patients and their providers. The goal of each case intervention is threefold:

  1. determine functional status of patients,
  2. determine whether appropriate treatment is in place
  3. Facilitate improved function and return to work.

This is not a therapy position that involves face to face counseling. Our clinicians interface with patients and their providers telephonically, and serve as a facilitator/ negotiator to assist in recovery with ultimate goal of successful return to work.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Writing reports in a clear, concise manner
  • Analyzing information to formulate sound opinions
  • Interpersonal skills to interact successfully with BH providers and patients across the country
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of duties
  • Creativity energy to assist with process improvements
  • Public speaking comfort and willingness to train lay personnel
  • Work well with team
  • Computer literate
  • Organizational and time management skills that are effective in a billable hour environment
  • EAP/ Corporate experience is helpful
