A BMI home visit establishes rapport, generates trust and quickly maps a plan for case resolution or management. There is nothing that equals face to face interaction when assessing the severity of an individual's condition. Independent Medical Exams can be a useful tool in this regard, but may be viewed as an adversarial step. A home visit by a BMI psychologist can provide you with much of the same clinical information as an IME. Rather than creating a contentious relationship, support and goodwill can arise from a home visit. We preserve a cooperative relationship, which can ultimately be crucial to satisfactory resolution of the claim.
