When efforts to obtain accurate, credible information on a patient sometimes fall short, an IME may be necessary to gain further information. BMI's panel of physician consultants are available to provide a comprehensive and objective assessment of a patient's condition, and present treatment plan.

BMI physicians do much more than confirm a diagnosis and the appropriateness of a treatment plan; they focus on a patient's level of functioning, and identify the barriers to recovery (both medical and non-medical). If requested, BMI physicians may consult with the treating physician about overcoming the barriers to recovery and improving the treatment plan.

BMI provides specific recommendations to overcome barriers based on extensive clinical experience and an understanding of complex workplace issues.
